Presentation by Richard Miller on The Irish in Northern Hunterdon

The story of the first Irish family to come to the Clinton Area–the Mulligans–is a fascinating rags-to-riches tale. From the arrival of the Mulligan brothers in the 1840's, the Irish have enriched the fabric of northern Hunterdon County. From nothing to prominence in two generations, the influence of the Mulligan family is still being felt today, as their quarry is now the site of the Red Mill Museum Village.

Richard serves as Vice President of the Red Mill Museum Village’s Board of Trustees and is a former mayor of the Town of Clinton.
