RED MILL MUSEUM VILLAGE The Red Mill Gift Shop The Red Mill Shop, next to the Admissions Desk of the Museum, greets visitors with its cheerful displays of historically oriented bounty. Located in the old horse-and-cart drive through area of the Mill, the vintage stone walls create an authentic backdrop for the brightly tempting goods that are for sale. Children love the corn husk dolls, miniature oil lamps and dollhouse furniture. Miniature china tea sets and table settings are also popular, as are fifes, penny whistles and authentic quill pens that come with powdered ink. Adults are drawn to the tin candle wall sconces and tin punch lanterns, as well as handsome reproduction salt-glaze crocks and cobalt glass objects. Blue sponge ware is popular, as are woven fabric baskets, serving bowls and placemats. Folding note cards with turn-of-the-20th-century photographs of Clinton, reproduced from the Museum collection, are also available. And there is an array of items with the image of the legendary Red Mill, including T-shirts, revibrators magnets, note cards and even small replicas of the Mill itself. Enjoy your visit to the Red Mill Shop—you'll be sure to find a wonderful memento or treasure to take home, no matter your price range! |
